Sarah Yetman

Sarah is a lifelong creator and dabbles with almost any medium she can get her hands on. As a child she was nicknamed the “craft monster”. An avid quilt admirer Sarah began to develop a healthy quilting obsession while on maternity leave with her first born in 2009.

From piecing to needle turn applique she was determined to learn it all. She learned very quickly of a deep love for free motion quilting. Sarah quilted on a small domestic machine for many years before deciding to take the plunge into longarm quilting. In 2017 she began quilting professionally. Hundreds of beautiful quilts have graced her frame.  Sarah considers herself a traditional quilter with a twist. She loves mixing bright colours and modern fabrics with traditional quilting methods and techniques. Her first personal quilt with an original design was proudly displayed at quilt Canada winning second place in the Traditional category.

Sarah resides in Brantford Ontario, Canada with her supportive husband and 4 amazing children. Quilting over the years has become a family affair with the children starting their own quilting journeys.

Sarah’s work has been featured in Canadian Quilters magazine. She was a featured longarmer of the month on the fat quarter shops blog, the jolly jabber. Sarah has longarm quilted for quilt designers Sew Fresh Quilts, Patch & dot and Border Creek Station. Her most recent collaboration with Border Creek Station was featured in the 2022 yearly calendar by American Patchwork and Quilting.
