Patchwork, Islamic Geometric Design, Monochromatic, Leaf, Leaves, Green, Blue, Red
Message from the designer: This fig leaf motif comes from a traditional Islamic geometric design that can be found from Morocco to Turkey and places between them. This motif is can be found as repeating tile mosaics (or zellige) as well as stone carvings around doorways and on towers. I have a foundation paper pieced pattern that produces this repeating pattern for quilts. This wholecloth print will give you the same effect as the intricate patchwork I use to execute this design. Each size- small, medium and large is scaled to make the print closely resemble the scale of the patchwork pattern it is based upon (which is why this design is only available in the small size. If you’d like it in a medium or large use the hyperlinks.)
This custom printed quilt top is made of a 100% lightweight polyester blend. The fabric is color fast, will not unjustly fade and the ink will not bleed through years of washing. It is machine washable, with cold water on gentle cycle using mild detergent – tumble dry with low heat. Featuring vivid colors and crisp lines, this highly unique and versatile fabric is durable enough for both indoor and outdoor use. It has minimal stretch, and a fine weave.
