Casey has been creating using textiles for as long as she can remember, and started learning to sew with a machine at the age of six. Initially, she learned to quilt in order to design and make custom bedding for her young sons. Her award-winning original appliqué designs have been featured by fabric manufacturers, leading quilting magazines, and in her two books—Modern Appliqué Illusions (2014) and The Appliqué Book (2016), and she also released a fabric line, Fine|Spun, with Marcus Brothers Fabrics in 2017.
