Jess Poémape

Jess started sewing when she was a little girl, and she used to make her own dresses as a teenager. She made her first quilt in 2010, and she was hooked ever since! She has had quilts in the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City, Utah and the Springville Museum of Fine Art in Springville, Utah. She designed and released her first quilt pattern in 2020, and all her patterns are available on her etsy site: etsy.com/shop/jesspoemape

Jess has worked as a software engineer for the past 4 years. She has a degree in Spanish and a minor in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University. She grew up in Texas and Utah. She got married in 2016 in Utah, and she moved with her husband to California in 2021. Jess is half-Salvadoran on her mom’s side. She grew up with a lot of Salvadoran culture, and that part of her identity is very important to her.

When Jess is not sewing, you can find her cooking or baking. She loves trying new recipes and cuisines, and she loves sharing food with people she cares about.
