Creativity is a strong interest for Marcy, particularly the creative process. She believes everyone has the potential for creativity, artistically and intellectually. It takes hard work and self-discipline to reach one’s creative potential. Marcy loves to share her artistic journey and hear other people’s stories about the creative process and how it fulfills their lives.
Why pursue creativity? When Marcy turns to her studio, she escapes the fast-paced world she lives in. Time slows down when she walks through the studio door; in fact, time becomes irrelevant. As Marcy familiarizes herself with her space and collections, life takes on a quiet rhythm. Marcy’s senses become acutely aware of colour, texture and an inner quiet. Sketches go down on paper, paintbrushes glide through ink and carving tools make their mark. Her heart beats to her own rhythm and new ideas are born.
