First Child

Message from the designer: This is a quote from my favorite The Red Tent. It says, “Just as there is no warning for childbirth, there is no preparation for the sight of a first child… there should be a song for women to sing at this moment or a prayer to recite. But perhaps there is none because there are no words strong enough to name the moment.”  I’m so grateful for authors and their stories who can articulate feelings into words back into feelings. There’s nothing like that first moment.

Available in three distinct sizes, this custom printed quilt top is made of a 100% lightweight polyester blend. The fabric is color fast, will not unjustly fade and the ink will not bleed through years of washing. It is machine washable, with cold water on gentle cycle using mild detergent – tumble dry with low heat. Featuring vivid colors and crisp lines, this highly unique and versatile fabric is durable enough for both indoor and outdoor use. It has minimal stretch, and a fine weave.
