Practice Panels

Message from the designer, Barbara Rubio: I created these two designs in gray scale and two different color ways with similar layouts. Practice quilting designs on fabric because challenging in that it is not fun and exciting to work on a blank canvas. To practice new quilting skills on quilts leaves the fear of ruining a quilt that you spent time and money creating. These panels were made to be fun and provide the best shapes to practice many different skills. A solid border vs a block border will lend to different skills or design choices. Flying Geese allows a quilter to play and work with negative space to change the look of the bloc. The center designs create a mini panel. Many quilters buy panels without learning how to quilt them. With four panels on one print it allows for smaller size pieces to be worked on for a lower price. After practicing they make great gifts.

Available in three distinct sizes, this custom printed quilt top is made of a 100% lightweight polyester blend. The fabric is color fast, will not unjustly fade and the ink will not bleed through years of washing. It is machine washable, with cold water on gentle cycle using mild detergent – tumble dry with low heat. Featuring vivid colors and crisp lines, this highly unique and versatile fabric is durable enough for both indoor and outdoor use. It has minimal stretch, and a fine weave.
